A performative installation piece made from 130 cushions of various fabrics and tonalities of pink, white and black. The work is activated by the sporadic presence of a man submerged within the cushions as he gradually and unpredictably reveals glimpses of his limbs from inside. It follows the recent research of Di Massimo, who continues to make significant use of décor elements with a representational and symbolic value. The work addresses existential topics as the expression of the self or manifestation of carnal desires such as the hidden, glimpsed, suffocated or exaggerated sexual intercourse, whilst leaving interpretations of the possible relationships between subject and object wide open.
