This audio piece features the reading of the trial made to Omar el-Muchtar, the leader of the Libyan resistance, by the Italian government before his executuion. The interrogation is transcribed three times in a document that the artist found on a Pan-Arabic website. Each transcription has a different rhetorical form (direct, prose, juridical) manifesting itself as an overlapping of the how, to narrate the event with what to narrate. The document becomes the proof that the proof doesn’t exist since the rhetoric used takes over the objectivity of the fact and its status of proof.
